Become a qualified driving instructor
We offer ADI part 1, 2 and 3 Driving Instructor Training with your choice of either courses or practical one-to-one tuition. We provide a completely flexible and interactive approach to your training, helping you in every way we can. We provide advice and practical help throughout every stage of your qualification process and are dedicated to your success. With our efficient training, you will soon be well on your way to becoming a fully-qualified ADI (Approved Driving Instructor)!
There are 3 exams you must pass to become a fully-qualified ADI. Before you apply for the first exam, you must have the ADI starter pack. Full details of the exams are in the starter pack.
The 3 exams consist of:
- Part 1 – A theory test of 100 multiple-choice questions plus a hazard perception test
- Part 2 – A practical test of your driving ability
- Part 3 – A test of your ability to instruct learner drivers
If you’re already an ADI (instructor)
We offer top-up training for qualified driving instructors with upcoming check tests.
Check tests are a legal requirement for all qualified driving instructors. An examiner is required to sit in on one of your regular driving lessons to ensure that your teaching methods are being kept up to a high standard.
Our top-up courses are designed to prepare you for your upcoming check test. The standard course is a half-day program, where one of our highly-knowledgeable instructors will evaluate your basic instruction and core skills as a driving instructor. However, we also offer full-day courses which include sitting in on one of your regular driving lessons as a mock version of your check test.
Whichever course you decide is right for you, East London’s Finest Driving School will assess your teaching methods and identify areas for improvement, offering advice and constructive criticism to push you to perform at your very best.
